Weekend Event Re-Cap

Hey Bloggerettes,

The weekend event with the "7 Gyspy" gals was a huge success. Everyone had a great time at the classess with Paula and Debbie. They are very personable, fun and talented. They had prepped the classes so well that everything went off without a hitch. I also made the projects so they can be viewed at the store. I wonder if "7 Gypsies" will have enough printer trays to fill my order on Monday. Everyone is keen to make more as gifts for Christmas. The 3D house is so adorable. Everyone in the class had a different idea of who to make it for and how to personalize it for the occassion.

Congratulations to the bracelet winners, Parise and Ann. Paula and Debbie were tickled pink with theirs too.

Thanks to the gypsy gals for all of their prize give-aways. I didn't expect that! Some people in Calgary now have the hottest "7 Gypsy" products in their hot little hands.

By the way, just because I had birthday cake at dinner it doesn't make me a year older!!!! "Roy/Lloyd" doesn't need to know anything! I probably don't have to worry - he'll be back behind bars!!

Let's try this again!

Hey Bloggerettes,

Just a quick note to let you know that the "Girls Paperie" order finally arrived. There are 2 collections including lots of matching embellishments. One line is very girly and the other is a travel line. Both are double-sided. Check it out!

Thanks VK for getting me out of a bind today. :)

Congratulations to our "Scrap Yard Darling", Lynnn Thune, and family on the safe arrival of the new granddaughter. The timing was superb!

This week we had visitors from a few different store owners outside of Calgary. Val from Peace River and Kari from LA. It's always fun to visit with other store owners.

Hi Mom. I hope things look up soon.

The Gypsy Gals are in town safe and sound. I have a very early morning tomorrow (getting up at SEVEN A.M. - is the sun up at that time???) so I must sign off.

Guess What?

Hey Bloggerettes,

Our new sign is up! I had a young scrapbooker in the store tonight who said she was so excited when she saw it through the school bus window this morning. Isn't that cute?

Just a few things came in today:

-Tim Holtz Curio Knobs
-Tim Holtz Ruler Ribbon
-Tim Holtz Mini Mister Organizer
-Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine
-Pure Milk Chocolate Almonds (they got dropped off today when I wasn't here so I guess we now have some treats - all scrapbookers like treats) ha, ha, ha
-Sunday International EZ Mount

In My HUMBLE Opinion:

Why is it when the lid of the toilet is open you can drop your mascara in the toilet even though you are putting it on your lashes 2 feet away - how does the wand fly out of your hand and take a swan dive into the porcelain bowl???? I HATE THAT!!!!

Have a great day!

Made it Through

So I made it through the crazy busy weekend and now it's a nice calm Monday (of course I'm not scheduled to be in the store until 3:00 p.m. so I'm alone in my craft room)! It was a fun weekend with the BWB on Friday night (sooo nice to have you back Audrey) and 2 of the chicks on Saturday. Trudy hosted a fun "Mother's Day" crop on Sat. night and handed out some fab prizes to the attendees. There may even have been some snacks and liquids involved!

Anyway, as promised I am posting some photos for your entertainment. They are:

#1 and #2 - The wonderful cake that Dot baked for us for National Scrapbook Day. We didn't ask - she offered! It was absolutely delicious and all of the flowers were cut out on her Cricut machine - a true scrapbooker!

#3 and #4 - The 2 handsome gentlemen we had helping out on NSD.

#5 and #6 - Okay, this is what happens when I leave my camera unattended!

#7 - On that note: Maureen - did you actually think I wouldn't post this - good thing you took the picture of your face and not the other end (cause that would have been posted as well)!

#8, #9 and #10 - 3 layouts that I did after we received the new Basic Grey lines - I am LOVING those papers!

#11 - My breakfast on Mother's Day (served along with a Mimosa of course) that my husband and son prepared. Loved it!

Enough ranting for now! Product still coming: Tim Holtz tissue tapes, Tim Holtz embossing folders, Girls' Papiere (2 lines), Melissa Frances, a ton more Stampers' Anonymous, a HUGE bling shipment and, maybe, a couple of surprises!

Have a great week.

Where for art thou Lori??!!

Hi Everyone;

Yes, it's been a while since I've posted. Lori headed off to surprise her Mom in Ontario for Mother's
Day and boy am I missing her! Thursday was a relatively calm day but yesterday was another story. PRODUCT, PRODUCT, PRODUCT. It's nuts in here! Thank you Amy for saving me yesterday morning (hope you're okay Jess) and thank you VK for stepping in last night. The store is a bit of a cluster but let me tell you what's new: Jillibean Soup - papers, corrugated alphabets, sticker alphabets, canvas flowers; The Paper Company - grad papers and embellishments and "Under the Sea" amazing papers and embellishments; Maya Road - lots of things Kraft; sports papers, travel papers, pet papers and embellishments, lots of Disney; AMAZING BAZZILL "Modern and Vintage" buttons and beautiful new flowers; beautiful new storage containers; restock of WR Memory Keepers piercing, craft knife and tweezers; Graphic 45 and last but not least, more ribbon.

I wanted to thank all of our wonderful friends and customers for last Saturday (National Scrapbook Day) - we had fun and hope you did too and congratulations to all of the prize winners.

Trudy is hosting a special Mother's Day crop tonight and I think she has a few things up her sleeve!

I promise to post again soon with photos but for now I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow and my thoughts are with you Denise (and your family).

It's a beautiful day somewhere - just not here!!!

Hey Bloggerettes,

Just in.................

Teresa Collins newest line called "Travel Ledger"
7 Gypsies crystal binder rings, dangly paper clips (Avignon), vintage receipt holder, vintage stationery (Gypsy & London edition) and more fun stuff

Just a reminder that the Bo Bunny "Mamarazzi" mini album class is tomorrow night. Remember how much you loved that paper line!!!!!

Donna Downey canvas layout kits are available now. We have 2 different layouts available.

The venue for the "7 Gypsies Weekend" has changed. It will now be held in the Lake Bonavista Rec Centre Multi-Purpose Room. There are only a few spots left so remember "snooze-you-lose"

New segment:

IN MY HUMBLE OPINION

I would like to share some RANDOM things with you:

1. Discovered a new store for affordable jewellry, it's called "Do Dads" and it's in Marda Loop
2. Found a new mascara that lessens the "morning racoon eyes" - its a Covergirl brand in the bright yellow tube
3. I'm thinking that sewing paper on your sewing machine would be less detrimental to your machine if you put a piece of tear-away interfacing under the paper so the feed dogs have something to grip
